The Problem
The business has been in operations for the past year, in Entoto Park, a newly renovated national park based in the capital city of Ethiopia.
The business name has been inconsistent since the time of establishment, these have included Nins, and The Chill. However, none of these names have resonated with the business owner and vision of the business.
User Research
User research for this project relied heavily on 1:1 interviews with the business founder.
A preliminary round of research saw that the branding inconsistent as the business identity has not be identified.
Discussion with key stakeholders showed that past branding had not reflected with the vision of the business owner.
Currently the business sells flavoured cotton candy, homemade ice cream, bubbles at Entoto Park.
As the business has also started hosting private events such as children's birthdays, a strong request was made to have the name be customizable. For example, if the business name was Happy Place, it could be personalized for a birthday or event to be Sara's Happy Place.
Using the data I collected from the discussions I was able to identify a few goals of the business.

Child friendly and appealing.

Overall feel to be playful and fun.

Starting The Design
I began the design by analyzing the existing imagery of the business. This included the shop colours, the product flavours and colours and online presence.

Following this, I created an image mood board. I pulled the most common colours found in these images using an eye dropper.

Name Brainstorm
Based on the initial user research, I noted key themes and repeated words. I then began to brainstorm names that reflected those words.

Usability Study
I compiled my findings including the colour themes, and generated names and shared them with the business owner for feedback.

Pink and blues to be the dominant colours.

Usability Study
I shared the first round of designs with the business owner for feedback.

Colours are too light.

Trailing bubbles are distracting

Preference for blue.

Conclusion
The business goal of Sweet Bubble is to appeal to children and create a space for them. This is currently being done through the business colours, which are similar to the services offered. This provides clients with consistency and recognition. They are also bold enough to be visible on posters, t-shirts and signs.
Most importantly, the business name and logo resonates with the work which allows for growth and for clients to identity and create a strong relationship with the business.
